But as the number of events has grown, so has the collection of flyers we've been featuring in our newsletter.

What started as a helpful way to promote community activities has become a little overwhelming. Readers have told us that scrolling through so many individual flyers can be tedious, and finding the events they're interested in isn't always easy.

So we're making a change that we believe will be better for everyone.

Going forward, all events must be listed in the Cereal City Buzz Events section before they're eligible for promotion through our newsletter, Events Calendar, or Facebook page.

This applies to festivals, concerts, live entertainment, craft shows, vendor fairs, church and nonprofit activities, fundraisers, family programs, workshops, car shows, bike nights, and other community gatherings.

We've created a straightforward event submission process to help organizers get their activities listed.

Simply visit the Events section, select Add Your Event, and follow the instructions.

You'll be asked for basic event information, including its name, description, and contact details. You can then continue through the remaining steps to provide the information people need to attend.

Have a flyer you've already created? Keep it handy as you prepare your listing.

Once your event is submitted, it will be reviewed and approved before appearing publicly.

That review helps us keep the calendar useful, accurate, and focused on real community activities.

And Yes, You Can Still Share Your Flyers on Our Facebook Page!

We know that many organizations, churches, businesses, and community groups enjoy posting their event flyers directly to the Cereal City Buzz Facebook page.

You can absolutely continue doing that! There's just one new requirement.

Your event must first be listed in our Events Calendar.

Once your event has been approved and posted there, you're welcome to share your flyer on our Facebook page as you've done in the past.

That way, people who see your flyer can also find your event in our organized calendar.

It's a simple change that helps us keep everything connected.
