Police probe late-night robbery on NE Capital Avenue |
Battle Creek authorities are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Monday night.
Officers responded to a call around 11 p.m. in the 400 block of NE Capital Avenue, where the victim reported being robbed at gunpoint by an unknown suspect.
The assailant fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
During the initial investigation, police apprehended a 37-year-old man on unrelated charges.
Detectives are working to determine if he is connected to the robbery.
In recent months, Battle Creek has experienced several incidents involving armed robberies.
In August 2025, a 22-year-old man from Battle Creek was arrested in Comstock Township after allegedly stealing a bicycle at gunpoint from a younger male near Gull Road and Sprinkle Road.
Additionally, in April 2025, a 35-year-old man was taken into custody following a large altercation involving approximately 60 individuals on West Michigan Avenue, during which shots were fired.
Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
