The 177th Calhoun County Fair wraps up its week in Marshall with truck pulls, the Cannonball Run, livestock activities, carnival attractions and the always-popular Demolition Derby. Meanwhile,

Saturday, August 22 is shaping up to be especially busy around Battle Creek with Mutt Market, the 1619 Event, youth football and Backyard Burgers & Brews, bringing dozens of food trucks, live music and plenty of local flavor downtown.

From August 19–22, fairgoers can also find the Wild World Petting Zoo & Pony Rides, Cook's Racing Pigs, FFA activities, Bingo, livestock exhibits, carnival attractions and demonstrations by chainsaw artist Mike Swagart. The petting zoo is scheduled from noon until dusk daily, while chainsaw-carving demonstrations are offered at multiple times each day.
