Yard Waste Collection ReturnsWeekly curbside yard waste collection in Battle Creek will start on Monday, April 6th and run through Friday, December 4th for the 2026 season.
How to Prepare Your Yard WasteYard waste needs to be at the curb by 6 a.m. of the customer regular collection day. Here is what you need to know:
Leaves and Grass: Must be bagged or in an accepted container Branches: Four feet and shorter need to be tied. Loose branches will not be collected. Containers: Republic Services will collect up to 32-gallon containers labeled Yard Waste Only Weight Limit: Each container needs to weigh 50 pounds or less
What Will NOT Be CollectedThe following items will not be collected as part of the yard waste program:
Exception: Pumpkins will be collected in October and November.
About the ProgramThe weekly curbside yard waste collection is provided by Republic Services in partnership with the City of Battle Creek. This service helps residents properly dispose of organic yard waste while keeping our community clean.
Remember to have your yard waste at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular collection day to ensure pickup.
