Under New Ownership and Coaching, Battle Creek's Team Aims for a Transformative Season |
The Battle Creek Battle Jacks are embarking on a transformative journey as they gear up for the 2026 season.
With new leadership at the helm, the team is poised to make significant strides both on and off the field.
In May 2025, Scott Miles, a seasoned entrepreneur with a deep passion for baseball, assumed ownership of the Battle Jacks.
His vision is clear: to revitalize the team and strengthen its bond with the Battle Creek community.
âI see this as more than a teamâitâs an opportunity to build something special with the community,â Miles stated.
Complementing this new ownership is the return of Head Coach Ben Harley for his second season.
Harley, who previously led the team to a notable improvement in the 2024 season, is committed to fostering a culture of winning and competitiveness.
âOur expectations are that our culture carries over to the 2025 summer and we make a run at a Great Lakes East Division Championship,â Harley emphasized.
Under Harley's guidance, the team has seen a resurgence, with the 2024 season marking the most wins since 1985.
As the 2026 season approaches, the Battle Jacks are not only focusing on on-field performance but also enhancing the fan experience.
Plans are underway to introduce new promotions, community events, and facility upgrades at MCCU Field.
âBuilding a winning ballclub will always be part of the job, but our biggest focus will continue to be dedicated to the fans,â said Denny Smith, the team's General Manager.
With a solid foundation of leadership and a clear vision for the future, the Battle Creek Battle Jacks are set to make the 2026 season a memorable one for players and fans alike. |
