Calhoun County Senior Services Extends Grant Proposal Deadline to October 29th
Three Senior Services funding opportunities address caregiver support, Community Health Worker training and mental and brain health programs.

Calhoun County Senior Services is seeking proposals from organizations for three programs designed to strengthen support for older adults, family caregivers and the professionals who work with them.
The funding opportunities focus on older adult caregiver support, Community Health Worker training and evidence-based mental and brain health programming.
The caregiver program could include education, respite support, resource navigation, case coordination, support groups or peer-to-peer services.
The Community Health Worker opportunity would fund training focused on older adult services, including age-related health needs, communication, person-centered care, advocacy and resource navigation.
For mental and brain health, the County is looking for evidence-based programs that may address memory and cognitive support, emotional wellness, stress, loneliness, social engagement or early-stage memory loss.
There is a deadline discrepancy applicants should resolve before sending a proposal.
A newer Calhoun County social media update says the deadline was extended to October 29th, 2026, while the County’s Special Programs RFP page still lists October 15th.
Because the County webpage and newer social post differ, organizations should contact Senior Services to confirm whether proposals are still being accepted and which deadline applies.
The County’s page directs applicants to submit a proposal template, collaborative letter and budget template by email to SeniorServices@calhouncountymi.gov.
Questions can be directed to Senior Services at 269-781-0846.
