A Sunday night fire damaged the Family Dollar store on Capital Avenue SW in Battle Creek, but no injuries were reported.
The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched shortly after 9 p.m. on October 4 after reports of smoke coming from the commercial building.
Arriving crews found fire visible near a rear corner and along the roofline.
Firefighters immediately began suppression and search operations.
