Franke Center Announces 'Finding Nemo Jr.' Auditions for K–5 Students in August
The Franke Center's Youth Theater invites K–5 students to audition for 'Finding Nemo Jr.' on August 13–14 in Marshall. Optional workshop on August 9.

The Franke Center's Youth Theater is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of 'Finding Nemo Jr.', scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, and Thursday, August 14, at The Franke Center, located at 214 E. Mansion St. in Marshall.
Students entering kindergarten through fifth grade in the fall of 2025 are encouraged to audition for this vibrant adaptation of Disney's beloved story.
The production is set to run from Thursday, October 16, through Sunday, October 19.
In this musical, audiences will follow Marlin, an anxious father, as he embarks on a daring journey across the ocean to find his son, Nemo, who has been captured.
Along the way, Marlin encounters a host of memorable characters, including Dory and Crush, learning valuable lessons about trust and friendship.
The production team features Angela Gerten as director and choreographer, with Marge Smith serving as music director.
Audition times are as follows:
Wednesday, August 13:
Kindergarten: 3:00–4:00 p.m.
1st and 2nd graders: 4:00–5:00 p.m.
3rd, 4th, and 5th graders: 5:00–6:30 p.m.
Thursday, August 14:
1st and 2nd graders: 3:30–5:00 p.m.
3rd, 4th, and 5th graders: 5:00–6:30 p.m.
Participants are required to arrive 30 minutes prior to their audition time to complete the registration process.
A parent or guardian must accompany the student during this initial period.
There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee for auditions.
Additionally, participants should bring a current, non-returnable photo.
If cast, a participation fee of $110 will apply.
Scholarships and sibling discounts are available upon request.
To help young performers prepare, an optional audition workshop will be held on Saturday, August 9.
This workshop aims to teach audition techniques and stage performance skills.
The schedule for the workshop is as follows:
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders: 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
3rd, 4th, and 5th graders: 1:00–2:30 p.m.
The workshop has a $25 participation fee.
