Project Connect Brings Free Community Resources to Battle Creek
Health, housing, employment and veteran services come together at Full Blast October 16

Battle Creek’s 2026 Project Connect Health and Information Fair and VA Stand Down will bring community assistance together in one place on Friday, October 16.
The free event runs from 9 a.m. to noon at Full Blast Recreation Center, 35 West Hamblin Avenue.
Now in its 21st year, Project Connect is organized through a partnership involving the City of Battle Creek, the Calhoun County Continuum of Care and Veterans Affairs Stand Down.
The fair is designed for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing instability or other challenges that make essential services harder to reach.
Representatives from nonprofit organizations, government agencies and local churches will be available to discuss housing, health care, employment assistance, public benefits, behavioral health and transportation.
The VA Stand Down portion will connect veterans with services, benefits and resources intended for former service members.
The city’s official event calendar confirms that attendance is free.
Residents who need directions can review the city’s Full Blast facility page before traveling.
People looking for help before the fair may also search Michigan 211 for local programs or call 211 for confidential assistance.
Transportation information for Battle Creek and other Calhoun County communities is available through Ride Calhoun.
Project Connect is structured as a one-stop opportunity, reducing the need for residents to contact several agencies separately.
The city said additional information about participating organizations and available services will be shared as it becomes available.
Anyone planning to attend should recheck the official Project Connect announcement closer to October 16 for any updates.
