Calhoun County deputies are investigating a fatal shooting that happened during a party in Springfield early Saturday, October 3.
Deputies responded around 3 a.m. to the 4200 block of West Dickman Road, near Army Street and Tony Tiger Trail.
They found a 21-year-old Battle Creek woman unresponsive after she had been shot in the head.
First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead.
