Restaurant Review: Battle Creek Burger
This week’s errands took us out to the west side of town in Urbandale, and since we were nearby, we decided it was the perfect chance to finally try Battle Creek Burger, a spot we’ve heard a lot of good things about.
Battle Creek Burger is a cozy little restaurant with only about five or six tables inside, but don’t let its size fool you.
During our visit, we saw a steady stream of takeout and delivery pickups, always a good sign that locals love the place.
For our meals, I went with the A1 Burger, which was absolutely delicious, while my wife ordered the Garlic Parmesan Burger and couldn’t stop raving about it.
Both burgers were fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor.
After tasting them, it was obvious why Battle Creek Burger has earned awards for Best Burger in Battle Creek in both 2024 and 2025.
We also wanted to try a couple of sides.
My wife ordered the hand-cut French fries, and I chose the onion rings.
A quick note for future visits: one side is more than enough for two people! The portions, especially the fries, were so generous that we couldn’t finish them.
While we were there, we noticed a sign mentioning a slight price increase.
Even with that, we found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, making it a great value.
On top of the food, the service really stood out.
The young lady working the front counter was incredibly friendly.
She not only took our order and brought our food to the table but also made a point to check on us and make sure everything was just right. That kind of attentive, welcoming service made the experience even better.
By the time we left, we agreed: these burgers are so good, they’re worth going out of the way for.
Battle Creek Burger may be small in size, but it delivers big on taste, quality, and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back. |
