British Duo Find Sparks, Surprises, and Small-Town Love at Michigan Motor Fest
British YouTube creators Josh and Jase recently experienced the ultimate slice of Americana in southwest Michigan, and they could not stop raving about how much they loved the town of Marshall.

Visiting for the annual Marshall Motor Fest, the duo, who openly admit they are not typical "petrol heads", found themselves completely won over by the town's vibrant community spirit, historic charm, and staggering display of classic vehicles.

Despite a sudden downpour that felt remarkably like an English summer, the creators eagerly explored the downtown streets packed with retro hot rods, classic muscle cars, and customized builds.

From revving a screaming 1985 Mazda RX-7 to marveling at a custom $90,000 lowrider that hopped on its hydraulics to music, the Brits got an authentic taste of American car culture.

"This is real-life GTA!" Josh laughed.

They also connected with local builders, including one craftsman who spent five and a half years of dedicated "elbow grease" restoring a sleek 1971 Chevelle.

The absolute highlight of their visit came when Marshall’s mayor, Scott Wolfersberger, welcomed the visitors and invited them onto the main stage.

Despite Jase’s self-confessed stage anxiety, the pair hopped up to help present the car show's top awards, including Best Engine to a stunning 1970 Dodge Challenger TA and Best Interior to a classic 1963 Chevy.

The exceptionally warm reception from the local community left a permanent impression on the visitors.

"The love we received was incredible," they shared, noting how touched they were by the friendly residents who lined up for photos with them throughout the afternoon.

Jase confessed that the experience completely transformed his perspective: "I didn’t know this place existed, but I’m glad I do now.

That has changed my opinion... would highly recommend".

Whether chatting with the mayor about the rainy weather or hearing recommendations to try the famous nut rolls at Louie's Bakery downtown, Josh and Jase's adventure proved that small-town hospitality can make anyone feel right at home.

They left Marshall with full hearts, new fans, and a newfound appreciation for Michigan's rich car culture.
