Acclaimed Singer-Songwriter Brings 'Soul's Core Revival' Tour to Michigan |
On November 1, 2025, Shawn Mullins, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter renowned for his 1998 hit "Lullaby," will grace the mainstage at The Franke Center for the Arts in Marshall, Michigan.
Mullins' career skyrocketed with "Lullaby," a track that topped the Billboard charts and earned him a Grammy nomination. His repertoire also includes fan favorites like "Beautiful Wreck," "Shimmer," and "All in My Head." Notably, he co-wrote the Zac Brown Band's No. 1 country hit "Toes" and formed the supergroup The Thorns with Matthew Sweet and Pete Droge in 2002.
This concert is part of Mullins' "Soul's Core Revival" project, celebrating the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough album. The project features newly recorded versions of the original tracks, offering fresh arrangements that breathe new life into his classic songs.
Opening the evening in The Franke's Downstage Club is Nathan Walton, a two-time Jammie Award winner and former contestant on Season 3 of ABC's "American Idol." Walton, who leads the soul-rock band The Remedy, released the albums "Daybreak" and "Nightdrive" in 2022.
"This is one of our most exciting shows of the year," said Jacob Gates, The Franke Center's executive director. "Shawn Mullins is a fantastic songwriter and puts on a great live performanceâand Nathan Walton is a powerhouse, too. Don't miss this one!"
The preshow featuring Walton is scheduled for 7 p.m., followed by Mullins' mainstage performance at 8 p.m. Tickets are available through The Franke Center's box office.
The Franke Center's programming is supported in part by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. |
