KCC Earns Silver Veteran-Friendly School Recognition
Kellogg Community College received Silver-level Veteran-Friendly School recognition for four services supporting veterans and military-connected students.

Kellogg Community College has earned Silver-level recognition in Michigan’s Veteran-Friendly Schools program for the 2026–27 academic year.
The college’s October 28th, 2026 announcement says the honor reflects KCC’s support for veterans, service members and military-connected students.
The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency program evaluates schools on veteran-focused services and awards Gold, Silver or Bronze status.
KCC qualified at the Silver level through four listed offerings: veteran-specific career services, an on-campus veterans coordinator, a veteran-specific website and graduation recognition for veterans.
Students can review KCC’s veterans benefits and resources for help understanding education benefits, enrollment requirements and campus assistance.
The college also maintains a veterans information site describing its Veterans Resource Center, support network and services for veterans, dependents, reservists and National Guard members.
KCC’s Financial Aid office lists Veterans Success Counselor Brent Haddow as a local contact for military-connected students.
Prospective students can verify a school’s current standing through the state’s Veteran-Friendly School Dashboard.
Federal education-benefit information is also available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs education portal.
The recognition does not guarantee that every student receives the same benefits, so veterans and dependents should confirm eligibility and required documentation before registering.
