Traverse City Seeks Healing After Walmart Stabbing Spree

Traverse City is grappling with the aftermath of a shocking mass stabbing that occurred at a local Walmart on July 26, 2025.

In this tragic incident, 42-year-old Bradford James Gille allegedly attacked 11 individuals with a folding knife, leaving the community in distress.

Authorities have charged Gille with one count of terrorism and 11 counts of assault with intent to murder.

Despite the severity of the attack, all victims are expected to survive, with two remaining in serious condition as of Sunday afternoon.

The victims, ranging in age from 29 to 84, include both men and women, with one being a Walmart employee.
