Dates that matter in Calhoun CountyMichigan's 2026 deer calendar lists archery season from Oct. 1 through Nov. 14, then Dec. 1 through Jan. 1. The regular firearm season is Nov. 15-30, while the early antlerless firearm season and Liberty Hunt are Sept. 12-13.
The Lower Peninsula December firearm season runs Dec. 4-6. Late antlerless firearm season begins Dec. 7 and continues through Jan. 1, subject to deer-management-unit rules.

wild they’re dropping that firearms zone, gonna take some getting used to
Jay T.I hear you. My family's always hunted in the southern part and we got used to those zone rules. Now I guess I'll be double-checking what people are carrying around here come fall.
