Annual Butterfly Release at Leila Arboretum Honors Loved Ones on August 1

Centrica Care Navigators invites Battle Creek families to celebrate memories with a symbolic butterfly release while supporting compassionate care services

Butterfly Alert

There is something quietly powerful about watching a butterfly take flight. It reminds us of transformation, hope, and the beauty of memories that stay with us long after someone we love has passed.

On August 1, Centrica Care Navigators will host their annual Memorial Butterfly Release at Leila Arboretum Society, offering Battle Creek families a meaningful way to honor and celebrate the lives of those they have lost.

A Morning of Remembrance and Hope

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. at the arboretum located at 925 West Michigan Avenue. Guests will gather in the picturesque garden setting for a brief memorial service at 10:00 a.m., followed by the butterfly release at 10:30 a.m.

Each butterfly released represents a life remembered, a story honored, and a family finding comfort in community.

Supporting Care for All

The funds raised from butterfly sales help Centrica Care Navigators provide compassionate care to everyone who needs their services, regardless of their ability to pay. This commitment ensures that no family in our community faces serious illness alone.

For those who would like their loved one’s name included in the keepsake program, registrations must be completed by July 28.

How to Participate

To reserve butterflies or learn more about the event, visit the registration page at secure.qgiv.com. If you have questions or need an invoice before paying, you can reach Rachel at rgiddings@centricacare.org.

This event has become a touching tradition in Battle Creek, bringing together families who understand that grief shared is grief lightened. Whether you are remembering a parent, a spouse, a child, or a dear friend, the butterfly release offers a gentle, beautiful way to say their name and keep their memory alive.
