Spring has arrived in Battle Creek, and our community is coming alive with activities, markets, and gatherings. Here is everything happening in Cereal City from Wednesday, May 7 through Wednesday, May 21.

👥 THURSDAY, MAY 8

Senior Expo at Kellogg Arena

📍 Kellogg Arena, 36 W Hamblin Ave, Battle Creek
⏰ 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
🎟️ FREE ADMISSION

This free event is designed for adults age 60 and over, their families, and caregivers. It is a one-stop shop for health resources, local services, and community connections.

What is Included (All Free):

  • Coffee and donuts in the morning
  • Boxed lunch
  • Free parking at Full Blast and the Hamblin Ave parking ramp
  • Health screenings and checks
  • Demonstrations and interactive displays
  • Wheelchairs available if needed
  • Giveaways and raffle prizes

If you or a loved one is navigating senior services in Calhoun County, this expo brings everything under one roof. No registration required — just show up.

Downtown Battle Creek Farmers Market

📍 Festival Market Square, Downtown Battle Creek
⏰ 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

The farmers market is back for the season! This is where community gathers and freshness thrives. You will find local farmers selling just-picked produce, artisans with handmade goods, food vendors with ready-to-eat treats, and plenty of friendly faces.

What You Will Find:

  • Fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables
  • Local honey and baked goods
  • Handcrafted items from area artisans
  • Live music and community atmosphere
  • Free parking nearby

Season Runs: May 13 through October 7 (every Wednesday)

Brown County Humane Society

🎟️ FREE (donations welcome)

The Humane Society is always looking for volunteers, foster families, and forever homes for pets. Even if you are not looking to adopt, spending time with animals in need is good for the soul.
