Battle Creek Rotary Club Honored with Prestigious Club Excellence Award |
Local Chapter Recognized for Outstanding Community Service and Global Impact |
The Battle Creek Rotary Club has been awarded the esteemed Club Excellence Award for 2024–25, a testament to its unwavering commitment to community service and global outreach.
This accolade celebrates clubs that demonstrate exceptional performance in areas such as membership growth, leadership development, and innovative service projects. Under the guidance of Club President Rod Auton, the Battle Creek chapter has excelled in engaging its members and spearheading initiatives that benefit both local and international communities.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of every member of our club, who worked tirelessly to set goals, take action, and make a difference in both our local community and beyond,” Auton remarked.
Among its notable endeavors, the club has supported international projects like the Bio-Sand Water Filters for the Dominican Republic and the Guatemala Water Project. Locally, it has been instrumental in sponsoring the Interact Club at St. Philip Catholic Central High School, fostering youth leadership and community involvement.
Additionally, the club awards over $6,000 annually in community grants to local organizations focusing on education, youth programming, health, and senior services. These efforts align with Rotary’s mission to promote peace, fight disease, support education, and improve lives worldwide.
