The City of Battle Creek Public Works Department has started collecting storm debris on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis.

 

Crews are working from north to south across the city, focusing on areas hardest hit by the storms.

 

Here is what you need to know:

• Place debris at the curb by 7 AM on your scheduled collection day
• Keep branches under 6 feet in length
• Separate yard waste from construction materials
• Do not block sidewalks or storm drains

 

What Gets Picked Up

 

City crews will collect tree branches, limbs, and organic yard debris.

 

They cannot take construction materials, treated wood, or anything with nails.
