Spring Fever: Battle Creek’s Record-Threatening 74°F Surge
From a frosty Wednesday morning to an early-summer Sunday, the Cereal City is in for a dramatic 45-degree swing.
Battle Creek is putting the "madness" in mid-April this week.
We are starting with a final frosty reminder of winter before a significant warm-up takes over, culminating in a weekend that feels more like June than April.
Wednesday serves as the transition point, starting with a biting low of 29°F and even a few rogue morning flurries.
However, as the sun comes out, the thaw begins.
By Thursday and Friday, we’ll be dodging consistent rain showers (75% chance) as temperatures climb into the 60s.
These "April showers" are paving the way for the real highlight of the week:
Sunday. Expect a spectacular high of 74°F, nearly 20 degrees above our seasonal average, under cloudy but mild skies.
The warmth lingers into early next week with highs staying in the low 70s and upper 60s.
However, keep the umbrella handy, as the high humidity and warm air will trigger several rounds of light rain through Tuesday.
It’s a week of extreme contrasts, so keep both your winter coat and your short sleeves within reach! |
