"Beat Ambassador David Takes Battle Creek by Storm!"

Uncovering the musical mission of Ambassador David in Battle Creek - a harmonious journey awaits!

"Beat Ambassador David Takes Battle Creek by Storm!"

If you’ve danced to a reggae beat downtown or sung along at a summer concert in Friendship Park, you’ve likely experienced the work of Ambassador David.

After a 28-year career with a Midwest oil company ended, David found inspiration in a Bob Marley cassette from his brother. “I fell in love with the music, not just the beat but the message,” he says.

Tired of traveling to Detroit or Chicago for reggae, he decided to bring it closer to home. That spark led to the birth of Ambassador David Productions LLC, which has been booking and promoting live music across the Midwest for over 30 years.

While reggae is his foundation, David works across all genres, focusing on family-friendly acts with strong stage presence. “I love working with younger bands trying to make a name for themselves,” he says.

Caribbean Fest Returns

This year’s Battle Creek Caribbean Festival promises big energy and bold flavor.

Expect performances from Midwest reggae powerhouses Roots Vibrations (Detroit) and The Hurricane (Chicago), plus an afterparty with DJ Assane Dia from Senegal.

Local vendors like Chef N Ultimate Catering and Love That Lemonade will bring the food, while craft booths add to the island vibes.

“We’re grateful for sponsors like Kellogg Community College, Marshall Community Credit Union, and Captain Morgan,” David says.

Tickets & VIP tables available via Base Bar & Grill’s Facebook events or Eventbrite.

Vibe @ Five: A Battle Creek Tradition

Since 2006, Vibe @ Five has brought free Friday concerts to Friendship Park. “It’s one of Battle Creek’s longest-running events,” David says. “We see everyone—from families to senior citizens.”

The music ranges from reggae to rock, polka to Latin, with bands that are interactive and engaging.

One fan-favorite was Big Daddy and the La De Da Polka Band, a crowd-pleaser for five straight years.

With food from Chef N Ultimate Catering and a welcoming, downtown vibe, Vibe @ Five keeps summer alive in the heart of the city.

One Love, One Community

Whether through Caribbean Fest or Vibe @ Five, David’s mission stays the same: to bring people together through music.

“We’re here to spread the positive vibe—and always remember the vision of One Love.”
