Comfortable Summer Weather Gives Way to Heat and Storms by Week's End

Battle Creek residents are in for an enjoyable stretch of midsummer weather as the week begins, with sunshine, comfortable temperatures, and refreshingly low humidity creating ideal conditions for spending time outdoors.

Wednesday will be the coolest day of the forecast, with highs only reaching the mid-70s under hazy sunshine.

Pleasant weather continues Thursday and Friday as temperatures gradually climb into the upper 70s and low 80s, while cool overnight lows in the 50s provide a welcome break from the recent heat.

Saturday brings more sunshine and temperatures in the low 80s, making it another excellent day for festivals, golf, boating, and other outdoor activities.

The weather pattern begins to shift on Sunday as warmer, more humid air moves back into Southwest Michigan.

Highs climb into the upper 80s, and scattered afternoon thunderstorms become possible as the atmosphere grows more unstable.

The unsettled pattern continues into early next week. Monday is expected to be humid with periods of clouds, showers, and thunderstorms, while Tuesday could begin with strong morning storms before skies partially clear later in the day.

Although temperatures remain in the low 80s, the added humidity will make it feel noticeably warmer than earlier in the week.
