Battle Creek, MI ... One person died in a house fire on Grenville Street late Wednesday night, April 22, 2026.

The Battle Creek Fire Department responded to the structure fire at approximately 10:30 p.m. after a neighbor reported the blaze.

Fire Response

Engine 3 arrived to find fire coming from a first-floor window of a two-story home and immediately began advancing a hose line into the structure. Neighbors at the scene advised firefighters that two people may have been inside.
