Fire Damages Fazoli’s Restaurant in Battle Creek

Quick Response Prevents Injuries; Entrance Sustains Damage

A fire erupted at the Fazoli’s restaurant on Beckley Road near Riverside Drive in Battle Creek on Tuesday afternoon, causing significant damage to the entrance area.

Firefighters arrived promptly around 3:30 p.m. and managed to control the flames within ten minutes. The fire originated in the wall near the front of the establishment and extended into the attic space. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among staff or patrons.

The Battle Creek Fire Marshal attributed the cause to the careless disposal of smoking materials. This incident underscores the importance of proper disposal practices to prevent such hazards.

In recent months, Battle Creek has experienced other fire-related incidents, including a residential fire on Wabash Avenue in June 2025, where one occupant sustained minor burns. These events highlight the ongoing need for fire safety awareness within the community.

The Fazoli’s management has not yet announced a timeline for repairs or reopening. Customers are encouraged to check for updates regarding the restaurant’s status.
