Epson Tour Event Finds New Home in Marshall, Michigan |
The FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship is set to embark on a new chapter in 2026.
Scheduled for June 12-14, 2026, the 13th annual tournament will take place at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Michigan.
This event is a key stop on the Epson Tour, known as the Road to the LPGA, and will showcase emerging talents in women's professional golf competing for a $225,000 purse.
A New Era for the Championship
After a successful 12-year tenure at the Battle Creek Country Club, the championship is making a strategic move to The Medalist.
Expressing appreciation for the previous host, FireKeepers Casino Hotel acknowledged the invaluable support from the club's management, members, and volunteers over the years.
Frank Tecumseh, CEO of FireKeepers Casino Hotel, shared his enthusiasm: "We are thrilled to bring this incredible event to The Medalist and continue growing its legacy. While the location is new, our mission remains the same: to deliver world-class golf, exciting experiences for fans, and meaningful support to our community."
The Medalist Golf Club offers a links-style course that spans nearly 300 acres of rolling wooded terrain and wetlands.
Designed by Bill Newcomb in 1997-98, the course stretches almost 7,000 yards from the tips, providing a challenging yet picturesque setting for the competition.
Lowell Weaver, owner of The Medalist Golf Club, expressed his honor in hosting the event: "The Medalist is proud to partner with FireKeepers Casino to host the 2026 FireKeepers Casino Epson Tour event. We are honored to continue the tradition they have built over the years, creating an unforgettable experience for both players and spectators. Our team is thrilled to welcome the future stars of the LPGA to our course, and we look forward to seeing how they rise to the challenge of competing on one of the region's most demanding and dynamic courses."
Championing a Worthy Cause
Beyond the fairways, the tournament remains committed to philanthropy.
All net proceeds will benefit The Haven in Battle Creek, an organization dedicated to providing meals, emergency shelter, personal care, counseling, and recovery support.
Specialized programs cater to veterans, families, and men with disabilities.
Roxanna Perez, co-tournament director, highlighted the event's impact: "Each year, this tournament brings together players, fans, and the community in a powerful way. With our new location at The Medalist, we look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new supporters for another outstanding year of golf and giving."
