We now have an opportunity to bring to Battle Creek more of the high-quality independent and alternative content that previously was not able to play in town due to space constraints, explained Josh Ward, director of operations.

Additionally, with more screens available, popular family-focused movies will remain in theaters for longer periods, giving residents more opportunities to catch the latest releases.

GQT Movies is no stranger to the Battle Creek area. The Indiana-based company already operates the GQT W. Columbia 7 theater, which has been a fixture in the community since March 1972, making it the longest-operating theater in the area.
