KCC Concert Band Announces Two Free Concerts This Fall |
Experience the Sounds of the Season at Binda Performing Arts Center |
Kellogg Community College's Concert Band is set to enchant audiences with two complimentary performances this fall at the Binda Performing Arts Center in Battle Creek.
The first event, titled "Echoes of Autumn," is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 26. This program aims to capture the essence of the season, blending familiar melodies with fresh interpretations that reflect both introspection and renewal.
Following this, "A Winter's Note" will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9. Attendees can anticipate a festive evening filled with both traditional and contemporary pieces celebrating the themes of light, unity, and joy.
Both concerts are free and open to the public.
The KCC Concert Band welcomes both students and community members with prior band experience. Rehearsals are held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays at KCC's North Avenue campus in Battle Creek. Interested individuals can enroll in the Concert Band course MUSI 160 for credit or MUSI 160C for non-credit participation.
"We aim for our performances to inspire audiences and demonstrate how music bridges generations," said Christopher R. Momcilovich, the band's director. "We also encourage new members eager to return to playing or continue their musical journey to join us."
