Stephen Colbert is giving fans a chance to own a piece of television history while supporting local community media in Monroe, Michigan. The former Late Show host is auctioning memorabilia from his surprise appearances on the public access program 'Only in Monroe,' with all proceeds benefiting Monroe Community Media.

The auction, hosted on eBay at colbertinmonroe.com, runs through Monday, June 1, and features unique items from both of Colbert's guest-hosting stints on the local cable show.

What Is Up for Auction?

Colbert announced the auction in a video posted to Monroe Community Media's Facebook page on May 28. The items include:

  • A signed original script from his first 'Only in Monroe' appearance in July 2015, complete with handwritten notes on the back
  • A signed script from his May 2026 return to the show
  • Two broken set pieces from the productions
  • An MCM coffee mug signed by Colbert

The 2015 script had already attracted 55 bids by mid-afternoon on May 28, demonstrating strong interest from collectors and fans.
