Charitable Union Hosts Community Open House on October 9th

Charitable Union is thrilled to invite the Battle Creek community to an Open House on Thursday, October 9, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at their headquarters, located at 85 Calhoun Street.

This informal gathering offers attendees the chance to tour the facility, meet the dedicated staff, and gain insight into the essential services provided to Calhoun County residents.

From free clothing and personal care items to baby formula and household goods, Charitable Union plays a pivotal role in supporting those in need.

Guests are encouraged to bring friends and spread the word within their congregations to help raise awareness about Charitable Union's mission and impact.

About Charitable Union

Charitable Union provides free clothing, personal care items, baby formula, steel-toed shoes, and household items to Calhoun County residents holding Bridge, Medicaid, or WIC cards.

They serve seniors, adults, the homeless, and children through their store and events like Back-to-School and Winter Coat distributions.

The Free Store operates Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon. Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All donations can be placed in the pink bins in the parking lot during these hours.

In recent years, Battle Creek has experienced significant economic development, with over $100 million in investments and projects downtown.
