Here is the event guide for the two weeks beginning January 28, 2026.

Cereal City Buzz: Event Guide (Jan 28 – Feb 11)

Your bi-weekly roundup of winter festivals, massive trucks, and community beats in Battle Creek, Marshall, and Albion.

We have officially hit the "Deep Winter" stride, but staying inside is not an option this week.

Marshall is turning its downtown into an icy art gallery, Kellogg Arena is hosting two back-to-back mega events, and Albion is bringing the heat with Chicago-style blues.

Here is your guide to the next two weeks.

Week 1: Ice Sculptures & Dance Moves (Jan 28 – Feb 3)

The weekend of January 30th is one of the busiest of the season. You have a major dance competition in Battle Creek and the region's favorite winter festival in Marshall.

  • Ice, Wine, Beer & Blues Festival

    • Where: Downtown Marshall & The Franke Center

    • The Scoop: Marshall’s premier winter event returns!

      • Friday: Take the "Beer & Wine Tasting Tour" through downtown shops (Tickets required).

      • Saturday: Walk the streets to see live ice carving demonstrations (Free) and cap the night with the headline concert featuring blues master Albert Cummings at the Franke Center.

    • Choose Marshall Events

  • ID Dance Competition: Zenith Tour

    • When: Friday, Jan 30 – Sunday, Feb 1

    • Where: Kellogg Arena

Week 2: Monster Trucks & Super Bowl Prep (Feb 4 – 11)

The vibe shifts from "Classy" to "Crushy" as the monster trucks roll into town, followed by the biggest football Sunday of the year.

  • Monster Truck Wars

    • When: Saturday, Feb 7 (12 PM & 6 PM) & Sunday, Feb 8 (2 PM)

    • Where: Kellogg Arena

    • The Scoop: "America's Wildest Monster Truck Show" takes over the arena floor. Expect massive air, wheelies, and loud engines. A perfect family outing before the big game on Sunday.
