If you haven’t stepped inside the student center at Grand Valley State University’s Battle Creek location lately, you might be missing one of the area’s best low-key lunch spots.

Tucked inside the building is DelectAble Treats and Sweets, a former pop-up favorite that has officially found a permanent home, and after stopping in this week, it’s easy to see why.

One of the first things you’ll notice is how convenient the location is.

There’s parking right outside the main entrance, plus a public lot just around the corner, making it an easy in-and-out stop for anyone on a tight schedule.

Once inside, the space opens up into a roomy, comfortable setting with plenty of tables and even spots to plug in a laptop. It’s the kind of place where you could grab lunch and knock out a little work between appointments.

We had the chance to meet Felicia, the owner, and she couldn’t have been more welcoming.

That personal touch shows up in everything here, from the service to the food and even the mission behind the business.

Felicia is committed to working with and supporting individuals with challenges, giving the shop a purpose that goes beyond just serving great food.

Speaking of food, the menu offers plenty of flexibility. Most items can be made as a fresh-baked bagel sandwich, a wrap, or a salad, which makes it easy to find something that fits your mood.

For our visit, we kept it simple and went with wraps.

My daughter chose the turkey in a spinach wrap, while I went with the Italian.

Both were generously sized and packed with flavor. The turkey wrap was fresh and satisfying, and the Italian delivered a bold, well-balanced mix that really stood out.

Of course, you can’t visit a place like this without trying something sweet.

My daughter went with a strawberry cheesecake cup, and I couldn’t pass up the cinnamon roll, which was huge, soft, and absolutely loaded with flavor.

The kind of treat you don’t rush through.

What really makes this place shine is the combination of convenience, quality, and genuine hospitality.

It’s quick enough for a lunch stop, comfortable enough to stay a while, and welcoming enough to make you want to come back.

For anyone working in the area, especially sales professionals or folks on the go, this is an easy recommendation.

Great food, easy access, and friendly service all come together in one spot.

This little gem might be tucked inside the GVSU building, but it’s definitely worth seeking out.
