Medicine was a calling for Dr Richens, as it was for many others in his family. Because of his family ties to medicine, he was able to draw from their experiences which led to his decision to pursue his medical degree. Dr Richens chose sleep medicine when he witnessed so many of his patients’ lives improve when they were better rested. Though he provides care for a wide range of sleep needs, he has a special interest in sleep-disordered breathing.
